Neil Young continues his string of releasing material from his archives with “Tuscaloosa” June 7, 2019. This live album was recorded on February 5, 1973 at the University of Alabama, including many hits from Harvest, notably “Alabama”, played in Alabama possibly for the first time. The album is credited to Neil Young and the Stray Gators, featuring Ben Keith on pedal steel and vocals, Jack Nitzsche on keyboards, Tim Drummond on bass and drummer Kenny Buttrey. Tuscaloosa was recorded after Neil released “Harvest” and before he put out “Tonight’s The Night“. “I found this thing and it had such a great attitude to it, I just loved the whole night, so I put that together with John Hanlon.” -Neil Young
